Nodaway Community Theater Company has an upcoming talk as part of the "Voices and Votes: Democracy is America"

The Nodaway Community Theater Company announces an upcoming talk, "Methodist Episcopal Church Division in Nodaway County" as part of the "Voices and Votes: Democracy in America" exhibit at the Rose Theatre. Co-founder of the Nodaway Community Theatre Company, Nina Dewhirst says "Anytime you explore the history of the community like Maryville, you're adding to the experience of the people who lived here"

"The top doesn't really center only around the civil war and the episcopal church here in Maryville. It talks about the area and what was going on included in the talk so I think that all people in Maryville and the community should be interested in it as well.", says Dewhirst.

The speaker is Northwest Missouri State University Student Nora Crowley (KROH-lee). She is a junior who majors in
History and minors in Public History and Museum Studies. She is also the president of Northwest's History Club and a member of Phi Alpha Theta.
Dewhirst says Crowley is the main researcher of the lecture.
"This is her topic and her choice to do this on the episcopal church here in Maryville. It should be quite interesting because she has gone back to look at the history on a community that I think we all love.", says Dewhirst.
The lecture will be at The Rose Theatre at 120 West Third Street, in Maryville, Thursday May 29th, at 7 P.M.
