Maryville City Council approved contract for asphalt mill and overlay project

The Maryville City Council has approved a contract with Keller Construction Company for an asphalt mill and overlay project. Interim City Manager, Ryan Heiland. Says the council approved the contract at their meeting last week. He says the cost of the contract is just over 346 thousand dollars for 2 inch mill and overlay on 5 different street sections in the city.

"...South Walnut Street, from First Street to Lincoln. We will be doing West Lincoln Street from Walnut to Main. We will also be doing South Main Street from Lincoln Street to South Avenue. We will be doing College Avenue from Country Club to Grand. Then we will be doing a large patch on North Main Street and Isadore Drive, there is a large section of asphalt that needs replaced out there.", says Heiland. 

Heiland says the Council will approve the contract portion of this project at their next meeting. He adds the city expects work to begin on the roadways in mid summer.
