Maryville School district met to discuss summer projects
The Maryville School district met this week to dicuss summer construction projects and hear reports from school leaders about end of year activities. Principals from the High School, Middle School, and Technical School all noted student accomplishments. The High School returned scores well above state averages on its End-of-Course exams, which are standardized tests requiered by the State's Department of Education. Meanwhile, students at the Technical School helped lead a Safety Acres course earlier this month, which saw large turnouts. The courses instruct aspiring farmers on the essenitals of farm safety.
As schools enmpty out for summer the district is working on upkeep and renovation projects. These include asbestos removal at the Eugene Field Elementary School and improvements to classroom space at the Middle School.
