The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a free macrophotography class on Saturday, May 17, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Burr Oak Woods Nature Center in Blue Springs.
The class will begin indoors with a tutorial on using macro settings on cameras and smartphones. After that, participants will head outside to practice photographing spring flowers and insects along the trails. Clip-on magnifying lenses will be available for phone cameras, but attendees should bring their own camera or phone.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. The class is part of MDC’s Nature Rx series, which encourages Missourians to reconnect with nature for better health and well-being.
Registration is required. For more information, visit mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com and search for event ID 206808.
