After a delay, construction on the East Fork Grand River Bridge on Worth County Route M is now set to begin on Monday. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving & Construction, LLC to replace the bridge deck as part of a larger bridge rehabilitation project across Worth and Gentry counties.
The project also includes work on the Middle Creek Fork Grand Bridge on Route 169 and the Zounds Creek Bridge on Route B in Gentry County.
During construction, Route M will be closed at the East Fork Grand River Bridge. Drivers will need to use alternate routes. The bridge is expected to reopen by the end of July 2025.
After work is completed on Route M, crews will begin on the other two bridges. MoDOT anticipates the entire project will be finished by October 2025, though all work is weather-dependent and schedules may change.
