St. Joseph Arts Fund Drive is underway

A major fund drive for the arts in St. Joseph is underway. The Allied Arts Council is holding their annual Arts Fund campaign to raise money for seven funded arts agencies in the community. This year's campaign called, Now is the Time, has a goal of 220 thousand dollars. Director of Strategic Communications for the Allied Arts Council, Brooke McBride, says money raised from the fund drive helps strengthen the St. Joseph community.

"9.9 million dollars in spending was operated by our cultural organizations in 2022, which led to 10.3 million dollars in event related expenditures by our audeince. That's a big deal for our community and making sure people understand that these events drive people to our community which drive people to our restaurants and our stores.", says McBride. 

McBride says the Arts Fund of the Allied Arts Council is the only fund in St. Joseph exclusively earmarked for the arts and supports a wide variety of arts activities in the arts community. More information on this fund drive is available on their website: stjoearts.org
