Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday returns for ENERGY STAR appliances

Missouri residents will have the chance to save on select purchases as the Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday returns this spring. From April 19 through April 25, state sales tax will be waived on qualifying ENERGY STAR certified appliances.

Missouri’s Director of Revenue, Trish Vincent, emphasized the dual benefit of this event say it encourages Missourians to be energy-minded while also boosting revenues for local businesses across the state.”

The sales tax exemption applies to a range of appliances, including clothes washers, dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners, and refrigerators – all with the ENERGY STAR certification. This certification ensures that these products meet strict standards for energy efficiency and long-term savings.

The tax holiday applies to the first $1,500 of each appliance purchased.
