Recap on Jefferson Board of Education

Several key items were discussed during the recent Jefferson C-123 Board of Education meeting.

Board leadership was reorganized, with Jared McQueen re-elected as president and Alan Gockel named vice-president. Emily Hilsabeck will serve as board secretary, and Jane Walter was appointed treasurer.

The board approved the 2025-26 Career Ladder Plan, final bus routes, a special education evaluation, and the graduation list for this year’s seniors. Staff compensation was a major focus, with a 3% raise approved for all non-certified employees and High School Principal Tyler Pedersen. The Jefferson board also adopted the new health insurance agreement.
