New Mozingo Lake Visitors Center will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony

Area residents are invited to the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park for a ribbon-cutting Friday afternoon for the new visitors center at the entrance to the park located just east of Maryville.
Interim City Manager Ryan Heiland along with representatives from the Northwest Technical School, who constructed the visitors center, will be on hand for a short presentation prior to the ribbon-cutting.
Park Director Jordyn Greenhaw says the new facility is a marked improvement over the old center.

"There's like a convenience section so we'll have snacks and clothing and all sorts of fun goodies. The basement is also a storm shelter, so we can provide better storm shelter during inclement weather for our guests. We will also have an arcade/family gathering area for those rainy days as well.", says Greenhaw.

The Ribbon-Cutting for the New Mozingo Lake Recreation Park will be held Friday afternoon at one o'clock.
