A popular offering at Mozingo Lake, just east of Maryville, is back for its second year. A Kayak Vending Machine gives people an opportunity to rent a kayak and take out on the lake. Mozingo Lake Recreation Park Director Jordyn Greenhaw says the vending machine is a great way to experience kayaking without investing much money into the activity.
"We're excited to be able to offer the community an option, because not everyone can afford their own individual kayak so it's a cheap alternative to learn if you even enjoy kayaking and to have that recreational opportunity.", says Greenhaw.
Six single kayaks and two tandem kayaks can be rented in two, four or eight hour time frames. The Kayak Vending Machine is located at the ADA Fishing Dock, across from the Public Beach parking lot at Mozingo Lake.
