The Missouri Department of Agriculture is kicking off its 16th annual "Focus on Missouri Agriculture" photo contest, and they’re inviting photographers from across the state to share their story of agriculture through the lens of a camera.
The contest, which runs through Friday, June 6, is open to photographers of all ages, with categories highlighting the beauty and hard work of Missouri agriculture. Categories include Beauty of the Farmm Faces of the Farmer, Around the Barnyard, Everyday Life and Kid’s Corner for youth aged 12 and under.
Judging will focus on visual impact, creativity, and image quality. And new this year, Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe will personally select their favorite photo, the First Family’s Choice.
Winners will be announced in early July, and the top images will be displayed at this year's Missouri State Fair in August.
Photographers can submit up to three photos in each category. For complete contest details, including entry instructions and rules, head to Agriculture.Mo.Gov/focus.
