U.S President Donald Trump says he is considering additional tariffs on China. His threat came after Beijing retaliated against his announcement of tariffs last week. In Missouri, farmers are already feeling the impact of last week's tariffs announcement. Fourth generation farmer from Amity, Missouri, Bryant Kagay says he has already seen futures prices for soybeans and cattle drop substantially. Kagay says he is also concerned about other farm expenses.
"I'm more worried about what its gonna do for some of the other stuff that we will purchase throughout the year, wheather that's equipment, equipment parts, chemicals in the future, fertilizer prices, and how it's going to impact things going forward.", says Kagay.
Kagay adds he feels like the President has implemented some of the tariffs without a lot of thought. He says the country's agriculture products are good quality and he would rather the government allow farmers to sell their products where they are needed and where they can gain the most value.
