The Falls City Board of Education met earlier this week with several highlights on the agenda.
According to a report from Superintendent of Schools, Tim Heckenlively, the board heard a presentation from Falls City Middle School, wrapping up the inaugural year of its new Robotics program. The initiative, part of the FIRST LEGO League, introduced 8th grade students to hands-on STEM learning and earned statewide recognition for community spirit.
Facility improvements are also moving forward. A new restroom facility is under construction at the stadium, and a storage building has been completed at the high school.
The Falls City board also approved several items, including updated employment policies, a 25 cent increase in school lunch prices, 2025–26 activity fees, and classified staff wages.
