Delay in scheduled deck replacement project on Mill Creek bridge

A scheduled deck replacement project on the Mill Creek Bridge along Holt County Route T has been delayed. Originally set to begin on Monday, April 7, the project will now start on Tuesday, May 27, due to contractor scheduling issues.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has hired Emery Sapp & Sons, Incorporated to replace the decks of two bridges in Holt County and one in Atchison County.

During construction, Route T will be closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes as the bridge is expected to remain closed until mid-July 2025.

Once the Mill Creek Bridge is completed, work will shift to the U.S. Route 59 Bridge over Interstate 29 in Holt County, followed by the Rock Creek Bridge on Atchison County Route F. All work is expected to be finished by September 2025.
