Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery offers summer art camp

Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe, Missouri is offering a summer art camp for area students. Executive Director at Cultural Corner, Kayla Henry says the week-long camp gives students a chance to learn about different crafts and art activities with several different teachers. She says students will be able to try painting, drawing, clay, paper mache, graphic design and crafts that can be completed at home.

"This really gives them a good opportunity to get more involved and see more of what the arts can offer. They get a better opportunity just to see the variety in different kinds of things they can do. There's a lot of things that fall into that category that aren't really being taught in some schools, that are not as easy to be taught in schools. We are offering differnet things to give them a better view of some of those differnet projects.", says Henry.

Henry says the camp will be June second through the sixth. Students 9 years old and older will meet from 8AM until noon and children 6 to 8 years old will meet from 1 to 3PM. To register for the camp, you can stop by the gallery at 424 Locust Street in Chillicothe. You can call the gallery at 660-240-5022 or email Henry at:  director@culturalcornerartguild.org
