Nodaway County residents will be going to the polls in April to cast their ballot on a variety of issues. For those unable to vote on Election Day, April 8th...there are three ways to vote by absentee. County Clerk Melinda Patton says one way is through curbside voting.
"If they have difficulty getting out of their car, they would just have to call our office and we can come out and ID them and get their ballot ready for them and let them vote in their car.", says Patton.
Patton adds no-excuse absentee ballots are also now available through visting their office at the Nodaway County Administration Center at 403 North Market in Maryville.
Patton says, "It's kind of Missouri's version of early voting. You don't have to have a reason, you just come in and bring your proper ID with you. If you are a registered voter then we will get your ballot and get you voted and that happens from now until the day before the election. We are open the Saturday before the elction, eight to noon."
Today is also the last day to request a ballot by mail. Patton says any Nodaway County resident requesting a ballot through the mail should contact her office at 660-562-2251 by five o'clock this afternoon today.
