MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville and surrounding county residents looking to safely dispose of household hazardous waste will have an opportunity on Saturday, March 8.
The Nodaway County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site will be open from 8 a.m. to noon at the Nodaway County Maintenance Barn.
The event is free for residents of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth counties, but participants must show ID. Commercial and business waste will not be accepted.
Items eligible for drop-off include bleach, ammonia, household cleaners, pesticides, automotive fluids, certain batteries, fluorescent bulbs, antifreeze, and oil-based paint. Latex paint is not accepted.
