Maryville receiving scoreboard upgrades thanks to NVB donation

Maryville will install a new video board for the football/soccer field, and a scoreboard for baseball/softball thanks to a donation from Nodaway Valley Bank.

The Maryville High School outdoor athletic scoreboards will be getting a major upgrade.

Superintendent Dr. Logan Lightfoot announced Monday that a donation from Nodaway Valley Bank will include a new video board for the Spoofhounds football/soccer field, as well as a new scoreboard for the baseball/softball field.

Nodaway Valley Bank's contributions will also support curricululum in a new marketing course that will be provided at the high school to produce content for the video boards.

The donation from the bank goes hand-in-hand with the Maryville School District's proposed no tax-rate increase bond that will be on the ballot next month, which will include artificial turf for outdoor playing surfaces, as well as upgrades to the district's high school, middle school, and elementary school buildings.
