Elderly man dies days after ATV wreck

TURNEY, Mo. - Authorities announced that an elderly man involved in an ATV wreck in Clinton County this past weekend has died from his injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 70-year-old David Blackman, of Lathrop, was riding an ATV Saturday afternoon in a field off of Northeast Gall Road, about three miles southeast of Turney.

Authorities say while attempting to turn, Blackman lost control and the ATV overturned, ejecting Blackman. Blackman was taken to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City by Life-Flight.
