LYMAN, Iowa - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a pursuit led to the arrest of a Council Bluffs man. 49-year-old Robert Greenwood was apprehended following a failed traffic stop near Highways 71 and 34.

Sheriff's deputies attempted to pull over Greenwood's vehicle around 12-30 A-M Thursday, but he fled the scene.

Deputies pursued him on Highway 71, with speeds reaching 122 miles per hour, until Greenwood's vehicle ran out of gas in Lyman.

With assistance from the Montgomery County K-9 unit, the Cass County Sheriff's Office, and the Adams County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Greenwood at the scene.

Greenwood is charged with 2nd degree felony eluding, driving while barred, and interference with official acts. He is currently held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
