ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - At the Belt Branch of Rolling Hills Library, two compelling programs are set to shed light on historical narratives.

In commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day this Saturday, Lafayette High School social studies teacher Brooke Rich will share insights from her recent journey through Europe at 2 p.m. in the Belt Community Room.

Rich was selected by the Jewish Community Relations Council and studied the Holocaust by visiting pivotal sites in Germany, Poland, and Norway.

Moving forward to Tuesday, February 20 at 6 p.m., Kami Jones from St. Joseph Museums will delve into the extraordinary life of Jeffrey Deroine.

Born into slavery under Joseph Robidoux, Deroine eventually gained his freedom and became an adept trader and interpreter. For more details about these and other events, visit rhcl.org.
