Maryville's Public Safety Fire Captain to retire

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville's Public Safety Fire Captain is stepping down after nearly four decades. Phillip Rickabaugh, who has served the Maryville community for 38 years, will retire on June 1.

Chief Rickabaugh, who is originally from Maryville, began his fire training with the U.S. Navy and completed his training at the National Fire Academy and the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.

Lieutenant Jace Pine will serve as interim fire chief after Rickabauahg retires next month.
