MOUND CITY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says one person died in an accident involving four young adults from Omaha over the weekend in Holt County.

The Patrol says Thomas Sule, 21, was driving a 2017 Nissan Altima on U.S. Interstate 29 about one mile south of Mound City.

Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, the car rear-ended a 2015 semi that was stationary in the northbound lanes. A passenger, identified as 20-year-old Deng Arop, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sule and two other passengers in the car, Shangag Shangag, 19, and Ramkel Gatdiet, 21, were taken to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph.
