PLATTE CITY, Mo. - One bank chain with several branches in the KXCV/KRNW listening area will be changing it's name.
Wells Bank announced that it has filed an application to change the bank’s name to Connections Bank. The name change is because Bank’s parent company, Wells Bancshares, is acquiring by merger Connections Bancshares.
That means the Wells Banks in Maryville, Oregon, Savannah, and locations around Missouri, will be called Connections Bank in the future. The headquarters, which is in Platte City, will remain the same.
The merger is expected to take place later this year while the name change is anticipated to happen next month once it's approved by shareholders and regulatory bodies.
