DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is partnering with Angler's Atlas to hold a walleye fishing challenge later this year.
Jeff Kopaska, with the Iowa DNR Fisheries Bureau, says Anglers will use the MyCatch app to record the length of the fish as well as take a picture.
The app uses anonymous location data, so secret fish spots will stay that way. Data collected will be used to provide scientific data. The challenge runs from May 1 through June 13.
