TRENTON, Mo. - At its latest meeting, the Trenton city council approved access consent for the USDA to conduct testing on a former grain storage site.
City Administrator Ron Urton says the USDA was originally in charge of the site in the early 1950s, before the city took control.
Urton says soil core samples are a common and minimally intrusive testing method used all over the world.
In other city council news, the council entered into an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation to install street lamps along State Highway 6 on the west end of town to reach a business.
They also covered were appointments of new members to the Convention and Visitors Bureau, an attorney leaving the city for another job.
