MARYVILLE, Mo. - At its latest meeting, the Maryville R-II Board of Education approved a major reassignment. Michelle Green will be the assistant principal at the Maryville Middle School, beginning in the 2023-24 school year.
A committee led by Kate Lydon, next year's middle school principal, and current middle school personnel interviewed selected finalists from a pool of applicants.
Green is a long-time resident of Maryville and is moving into the assistant principal position after teaching sixth grade science at the middle school for the past 15 years.
Green moved to Maryville after high school to attend Northwest Missouri State University. While in Maryville, she met her husband, Dr. Clarence Green, the interim President at Northwest Missouri State University.
