Elderly woman seriously injured in MO wreck

OSBORN, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an elderly person is in serious condition after a two-vehicle wreck. The Patrol says it happened on U.S. Highway 36, north of Osborn, at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities Becky Luna, 73, who was driving a 2022 Ford Escape, attempted to cross the highway and struck the side of a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The collision caused both of the vehicles to go into the median.

Luna was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph with serious injuries while the driver of the Nissan refused treatment at the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
