Two FL residents killed in MO wreck

ALLENDALE, Mo. - A man and woman from Florida are dead after an ATV wreck involving a pickup truck in Worth County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 52-year-old Jorge Calvo and 55-year-old Zulemam Mederos, both of Florida, were on the ATV which was on County Road 170, three miles southeast of Allendale.

The Patrol says at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday at a hillcrest, a pickup truck, driven by 37-year-old Robert Moad of Denver, Missouri, skidded across the center of the road, striking the ATV, and forcing the ATV to overturn and slide underneath the pickup.

The victims from Florida were pronounced dead at different hospitals. Moad, and 41-year-old Melissa Parcell, also of Denver, Missouri, were taken to Mosaic Hospital of Albany with minor injuries.
