The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man is dead after a motorcycle wreck.
The Patrol says 34-year-old John Shea of Stewartsville was riding a 2000 Yamaha V-Star on 36 Highway, 13 miles east of Saint Joseph. Authorities say at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, Shea struck the rear of a towed vehicle near Southeast 123rd Street.
Shea was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene 37 minutes later. The driver of the tow truck suffered no injuries.
