POLK TOWNSHIP, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three St. Joseph residents were seriously injured after an improper turn in Nodaway County.

The Patrol says 23-year-old Urizardo Rojas Bautista was driving a 2009 Chevy Tahoe. At 6:47 a.m. Sunday, Bautista made an improper turn and the Chevy hit the north edge of Route V, near the Route H intersection, striking an embankment and utility pole before overturning.

Bautista didn't suffer any injuries, but 20-year-old Harri Huarcas, 23-year-old Yonico Perez and 21-year-old Jeronzmo Osvaldo, all passengers, suffered serious injuries.
