ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City and Northwest Missouri is providing assistance to those impacted in St. Joseph by Tuesday night's storms.
On Wednesday, the National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado was on the ground for nearly half a mile in eastern St. Joseph.
The tornado, which contained winds up to 90 mph, damaged about two homes and brought down multiple trees and limbs across the city. So far, no other tornado touch downs have been confirmed for the Northwest Missouri region.
