JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting residents to help them do some spring cleaning next month.

MoDoT is looking for residents to help out with their Trash Bash in April, and asking Adopt-A-Highway volunteers to pick up their sections. MoDoT says it will supply trash bags and safety vests for anyone who volunteers.

People can learn more by visiting modot.org or by calling 1-888-ASK-MODOT. Every year, MO-DOT spends about $6 million to remove litter from the state's 34,000 highway miles.
