JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Agriculture is looking for family farms that are nearing a big milestone.
The MDA is looking for farms that have been with families since December 31, 1922, to be recognized as a Missouri Century Farm.
To qualify, the same family must have owned the farm for 100 consecutive years and the farm must be at least 40 acres of the original land acquisition.
Interested families can find more details and apply at extension.missouri.edu. The deadline to apply is May 1.
