CRESTON, Iowa - At their latest meeting, the Creston City Council took the first steps in getting quotes for flood plain insurance for the city.
City Administrator Mike Taylor says that this step was necessary in continuing the protection and conservation of the city of Creston.
Other points of interest from the meeting include the removal of crossing signs at South Elm and West Clark Streets, and the approval of hiring Water's Edge Engineering Service to begin phase 1 of improvements for the aquatic center.
