WASHINGTON - Teachers in Missouri may be considering a move or a career change. That's because the website WalletHub, which ranked all of the states, found that Missouri was the seventh worst state in the U.S. for teachers.

As for nearby states on the list, Nebraska was the 20th worst state, Iowa was 26th and Kansas was 28th. Wallet-Hub looked at several metrics, including teacher turnover rates, salaries, school systems and state spending.

The best state to be a teacher was New York state while the worst state was New Hampshire.
