COVID-19 testing criteria changes at Iowa hospital

CLARINDA, Iowa - One hospital in the KXCV/KRNW listening area is changing it's COVID-19 testing criteria due to an increase in testing demand and a continued national shortage of testing supplies.

The Clarinda Regional Health Center will no longer be performing rapid tests for asymptomatic patients or persons who have other household members who have already tested positive.

According to their website, they will be sending those tests to an outside lab and should have results back in 48-72 hours.

They add that they are continuing to explore all testing options so we can continue to offer rapid testing for those who need it most.
