Human remains identified, but name not released

UNION STAR, Mo. - The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says they have identified remains found in connection with a homicide investigation in Union Star.

Sheriff Kasey Keesaman says they are not releasing the identity at this time, as to give immediate family time to make arrangements. We should learn more in the next 24 hours.

The residents of the property where the remains were found, 59-year-old Kevin McGinnis and 26-year-old Kori McGinnis, have been arrested and charged with unrelated crimes. Sheriff Keesaman says they are considered persons of interest. No other information has been released.
