WHEELING, Mo. - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man in his 30's in connection with a drug investigation.

The Sheriff's Office says Douglas Coin tried to flee after a Sergeant was called about an ATV without headlights on on August 28 at 1:58 a.m. in Wheeling.

Officials say Cash fled on foot and hid in a bean field, once the Sergeant located the ATV and attempted to pull it over. But, authorities say Coin didn’t hide for long once the K-9 team arrived to aid in the search.

Once in custody, authorities seized four bags of methamphetamine that been packaged for sale, as well as other distribution equipment. Coin is charged with delivery of a controlled substance. His bond is set at $15,000.

The Sheriff’s Office adds that Coin is currently on parole for possession of meth from a September 2020 conviction in Livingston County.
