MSHP: Pedestrian struck by vehicle

ALTAMONT, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a pedestrian is in serious condition getting struck by a car over the weekend.

The Patrol says Cassie James of Cameron, 20, was hit near MO Highway 6 and Altamont Street in Daviess County at 8:45 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities says James attempted to cross the highway when a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by Nicole Gutierrez of Gallatin, 20, struck James. James was taken by LifeFlight to Eagle to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
