MARYVILLE, Mo. - Officials say an Iowa woman was seriously injured after a collision over the weekend in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Kathryn Silvestre of Shenandoah, 41, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster on U.S. 71 Highway, just a half mile north of Maryville.
Authorities say a mattress on a different vehicle became unsecured and fell on the roadway in Silvestre's path. Silvestre's Harley struck the mattress and she was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
