WalletHub looks at best and worst states for cops


WASHINGTON - When it comes to being a cop, one state in our listening area is one of the worst states in the nation to be a police officer.

WalletHub ranked all 50 states and D.C. from best to worst and Kansas ranked 41st in the nation. Nebraska ranked 38th, Iowa ranked 25th and Missouri was ranked 23rd.

WalletHub looked at several metrics, including income, crime rates, expenses, and other metrics. The best state to be a police officer is California, while the worst state is Hawaii.
