JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation released preliminary data from the regular spring turkey hunting season.
The MDC shows that 31,798 birds were hunted from April 19 through May 9. In Nodaway County, 201 birds were hunted while 330 were hunted in Livingston County.
The top counties were Franklin County, with 710, and Texas County with 666. According to an MDC press release, turkey hunting participation declined this year from 2020.
