KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Evergy is issuing a scam alert. The utility company says scammers are pretending to be with the company and asking Evergy customers for immediate payment to avoid service disconnection.
Evergy Spokesperson Andrew Baker told KXCV/KRNW that customers can also review their account status by visiting evergy.com.
If you feel like you've been the victim of a scam call, report the crime to your local law enforcement agency.
