Ozarks boating accident leads to one fatality

One person is dead and five injured following a boating accident at the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday night.

The body of a Eugene, Missouri man, 39-year-old Jason C. Russell was found Sunday evening. 

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Kelly Wise of Atlantic, Iowa was charged with boating while intoxicated after crashing into a boat with four occupants around ten o'clock Saturday evening at the four mile marker of the Osage Arm in the Lake of the Ozarks. The patrol report indicates Wise, who owns several motels in Maryville, was heading upstream when his boat collided with a boat headed downstream and driven by 37-year-old Bradley Siebeneck of Holts Summit, Missouri.

Russell, a passenger in Seibeneck's boat, was later found dead.  Another passenger 37-year-old Nathan Sneller suffered serious injuries. Siebeneck and another passenger, 42-year-old Brian Basham of Eldon, Missouri received minor injuries. Wise also received minor injuries but a passenger in Wise's boat, 61-year-old Tammy Wise suffered moderate injuries.
