KCP&L residential customers will see a change to their bill beginning on August 1 of this year.
The Missouri Public Service Commission recently approved an application filed by KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations to adjust the Demand Side Investment Mechanism charge on customer bills allowing them to recover demand side management program cost and incentives under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act.
Residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt per of electricity a month will see an increase of approximately $3.54 after the change goes into effect.
KCP&L GMO provides electric service to an estimated 323,470 in Missouri counties including Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, and Worth.
