Jefferson C-123 Board discusses and approves new contracts and new lunch prices

The Jefferson C-123 School Board met recently for their July meeting.

Superintendent Tim Jermain says the board approved its contract with ACES, a cooperative for special education, as well as approved the preliminary bus routes for the upcoming school year. Jermain also says there will be increase to elementary, high school and adult lunches.

"Meal prices were increased ten cents for lunch prices for elementary, high school, and adult lunches.  Every year we check with the USDA to have a calculation tool that says what we need to do with our lunch prices and it recommended that we raise them more than that.  But that was the minimum we were recommended to raise so we did raise our lunch prices by ten cents."

The next board meeting will be held Wednesday, August 21st at 5:30 p.m.
