The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office arrested a 50-year-old Blockton, Iowa woman earlier this week after receiving a call about a suspicious woman and her vehicle in a private field in the area of 250th and Panther Road.
The woman was carrying a pry bar. Deputy Long with the Nodaway County Sherrif's Office was called at the scene and located 50-year -ld Susan Anne Walters of Blockton, Iowa. Walters' vehicle was not licensed and the windshield was broken which obstructed the driver's vision. Walters did not have a valid driver's license. During the course of the encounter, Walters became resistant and attempted to leave. Nodaway County deputies used their K-9 Bolt to assist and search the vehicle where a syringe and pipe, a firearm and 21 grams of methamphetamine were discovered.
Nodaway County Prosecuting Atroney Robert Rice charged Walters with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class D Felony, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a class E felony. Walters is being held in the Nodaway County Jail pending bond.
