Anything Goes to be performed by MYP 2nd Stage this weekend

The Maryville Young Players Second Stage present their performance of Anything Goes on Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Anything Goes is a romantic comedy that focuses on a couple and the endeavors they take throughout their relationship. Assistant Director for Second Stage, Vanessa Parsons, says the cast of Anything Goes ranges from school children to retirees.

"Full community event.  Our youngest one is 14 and then we have a lot of retired people in our cast as well.  So it really spans the whole generational gap."

Parsons says Anything Goes is a good show that the entire family can enjoy.

"It's a story about Billy and Hope, a couple that meets and falls in love and the different things that happen.  She's engaged to another man, but they are trying to figure out how to be together..... an Evangelical Church Night Club Singer.  There are other plots that go with that and it's just a lot of fun.  It's a funny, romantic, light-hearted, good show."

Second Stage's production of Anything Goes will be on Saturday at 7 pm at Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are available at Maryville HyVee or at the box office one hour before the show.
