Albany hospital renamed to Mosaic Medical Center - Albany

The hospital in Albany is receiving a name change. It is now known as Mosaic Medical Center-Albany. The facility was formally known as Northwest Medical Center, operating under the Mosaic Life Care corporate brand. The hospital recently completed implementation of Mosaic Life Care's electronic medical record system across all of its locations. President of Mosaic Medical Center-Albany, Jon Doolittle, says the name change gives Mosiac consistent naming across all of its properties.

"Mosaic is evolved as well and modified its brand standards to a consistent naming convention that is very simple and very easy for people to use.  For example, that's why we have for our two campuses in Albany, the Medical Center- Albany and then Family Care at Albany East.  Just trying to help to know what type of services are delivered in each location and where a patient should go to interact with our providers there.  So you do have that consistency across all these Mosaic facilities in what is a rapidly growing system."

Mosiac recently purchased the former St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, rebranding that facility as Mosaic Medical Center-Maryville.
